As the results of Early Action round are coming out, I still remember the emotions that I went through exactly one year back. I was not one of the fortunate ones to receive the phone call and completely lost hope that I would get a call. However, it was the phone network that kept me away from getting this wonderful news. Finally, after refreshing my browser for the 10oth time, I got the coveted result that I was hoping for and my mind started wandering in the enchanted forest (just remember this term; you will understand once you take classes from PK).
It’s been one year since that date and that moment is still fresh in my memory. I can’t believe I have completed more than four months in Hanover. I started with Outward Bound exploring the wilderness and getting to know those wonderful seven Kayakers, who have become part of my life at Tuck. Our instructors were like role models and I learned invaluable lessons about teamwork and leading a team in an unfavorable environment.
Orientation week gave us glimpse of how life at Tuck would be. For me, the highlight of the orientation week was the work that my group did for David’s house; without properly knowing one another it was the time for us to perform as a single unit. It was really heart touching story to learn how Mr. Cyr started the idea of David’s house and how they received the initial funding. Our main job was to solve the problem that David’s house was facing and we did a great job in suggesting the solution that we, as a group, came up with.
Fall A was like lightning strike (before you realize anything it was over) and Fall B was as excruciating as you could imagine (details to follow), but once Fall term is over you know that you have accomplished something.
Congratulations to those who got in and those could not, just hang in there, you will get your moment.
